Description: A small masterpiece from the 1700s, of beautiful happy horses! These sheets are original woodcuts from an old collection, and difficult to accurately date or determine artist, but probably Tachibana Morikuni.
Period: Woodblock print from 1700s
Medium: print from thread-bound woodblock-printed book; ink on paper
Format: ca 10,5x16 cm
Condition: Good condition for an antique, the paper is thin and there are some wear due to age and may include slight toning, with small holes and creases in the thin paper, but it still look really beautiful framed. Please see photos for details.
This is one of 2 two horse motif from the same serie, sold separately, but they are very nice together,
it can be very beautiful if the two prints hang next to each other. See photos.
